Console gaming calendar 2023: these are the games we're most looking forward to next year – part 1

Although there are hundreds of premieres to look forward to next year, there are still a number of games that will be a particular focus of attention. Here's what the console gaming calendar 2023 has in store for us.

For a while, we thought there wouldn't be a busier year than 2022, but then many events and games have shifted to 2023. The start of the year has already been a bumper one, and there are still a number of games awaiting their release dates.

We've rounded up what the console gaming calendar 2023 has in store for us:

If we're only looking at this month, it's already worth looking forward to 2023, as that's when Dead Space remake Forspoken will be released, as well as Fire Emblem Engage.

May brings everyone's most long-awaited game, Tears of the Kingdom. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was almost unanimously the game of the year for everyone, so we're curious to see if Tears of the Kingdom will be the game of the year for 2023. And we've also got Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in this season.
