Sony's PlayStation Showcase kicks off the season of big announcements in 2023
Sony usually skips its big E3 event in Los Angeles, so this year it held its own showcase weeks early on 24 May, where it announced games coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.
The show kicked off with Jade Raymond's Haven. Fairgame$ promises to be a very fast-paced sci-fi game.
Helldivers 2 and Ghostrunner II were also announced with an impressive video.
But there was some real cuteness too: Devolver brings us The Plucky Squire, a cartoon set in a children's room in 2D on the pages of a small book and in 3D.
Unsurprisingly, one of the most important PS5 games of the year, Final Fantasy XVI, due out in June, also got a few minutes with a new trailer.
Resident Evil 4 is getting a VR mode, and you'll be able to play through it from the inside view.
And while we're on the subject, Sony have unveiled a trailer for the Gran Turismo movie, which brings the game in one-to-one atmosphere. But beyond that, they've saved the big bang for last, a new trailer for Spider-Man 2, starring Kraven the hunter, who's likely to be one of the game's main villains.
If you don't have a PS5 at home, book an appointment to play with it at Station Wagon!
