Microsoft's latest earnings report for the first quarter of 2023 reveals that overall Xbox machine sales have fallen by 30% over the past three months, which could be problematic because fewer people chose the console over the PS5 in the previous quarter and even over the holiday season.
Sony usually skips its big E3 event in Los Angeles, so this year it held its own showcase weeks early on 24 May, where it announced games coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.
Blizzard's annual event has been on the decline since the Covid pandemic, but now it's back and the date is set. Sony has long promised to bring back its classic public convention, which was almost permanently cancelled by the covid epidemic. As Sony has done since the first PlayStation, a smaller and lighter version of its home console is isexpected. The Japanese company has also released a smaller version of the PS4, so we can look forward to the PS5 Slim. Unfortunately, we don't know when yet. Sony released the Slim versions of its previous two models 3 years after the original release, although for the first two versions it was 4 and 6 years respectively. This means that it is expected to arrive in late 2023 or early 2024.
Every year there have been FIFA parts, but FIFA23 is the last part from EA to wear the name, because next year we'll be playing with EA Sports FC.
